The DAO Racing Kawasaki Team hit the track at Circuito de Jerez this week for a two-day test as Danny Buchan returned to the Superbike whilst Brayden Elliott prepares for his first full season in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship in 2024.
Buchan returns to Team Green after a spell with BMW and following a challenging season hampered by injuries, he is ready to get back on track in 2024 with the DAO Racing Kawasaki team. Meanwhile Elliott is continuing to build Superbike experience as he prepares for the full time move from the Pirelli National Superstock Championship after making his debut in the final rounds of 2023.
Buchan said: “Getting back on the Superbike after three months was a lot different to riding the Superstock bike so the first day we ended the day in a good place to start day two making some more changes and working through to evaluate the strong and weak points. I probably should have done a time attack in the middle of the day, but the aim was to get comfortable so that when we go testing again on the Superbike next year we are ready to push to the limit. We did lots of laps and it gives us a good amount of data to work with over the winter now ready for 2024.”
Elliott said: “It was awesome to have the opportunity to come testing at Jerez and set ourselves up well for next year as any time on the Superbike is really valuable for me. We made some good steps forward, tested a bunch of changes, which gave me the chance to get up to speed and comfortable on the Superbike. I couldn’t have asked for much, so thank you to the team for a big few days.”
