Newcomer Marco Morelli led the way in his BTC debut at Thruxton, setting the best lap of FP1 to top the timesheets.
Joining the pack this weekend as a wildcard for Fibre Tec Honda, the European Talent Cup leader set a hot lap of 1min 23.343secs to go 0.052s clear of Amanuel Brinton.
Julian Correa was third quickest, ahead of Filip Surowiak with Ryan Frost fifth.
