Mad Racing and Forward Vision join forces for 2024 Pirelli National Superstock Championship

03 January 2024

The Mad Racing and Forward Vision Teams have joined forces ahead of the 2024 Pirelli National Superstock Championship to field a three-strong rider line-up in the class spearheaded by Joe Sheldon Shaw alongside their new Academy riders Jake Campbell and Jake Hopper.

Sheldon Shaw returns to the class where he had a best result of sixth place at Oulton Park, whilst Campbell and Hopper will make their debut in the Championship, progressing from the Pirelli National Junior Superstock Championship. The team will continue to line up on Kawasaki machinery for the new season.

Sheldon Shaw said: “I am so grateful to Dave and Mandy for this opportunity. Myself and my family have been friends with the team for a few years now, and after the struggles I have faced both on and off the track in 2023, I believe that this partnership is exactly what I need for my 2024 campaign. Thank you to all of my sponsors, Team MAD Racing, family and friends for making this possible.”

Campbell said: “I am looking forward to joining the MAD team for a full season and taking the step up into National Superstock. I was lucky enough to ride a 1000cc bike for the first time with them for the last two rounds of the 2023 season and I was welcomed with open arms. It will be a good experience coming from a few years of running a 600cc bike myself, to a team full of knowledge, learning about the electronics and data side of it from Chris Sayle - one of the best in the paddock. I want to thank Dave, Mandy and the rest of the MAD team for giving me the opportunity and I can’t wait to get back out on the bike.”

Hopper said: “I’m super pleased to be moving up to the Superstock class for the 2023 season and very appreciative of MAD racing for this opportunity within their new Academy structure. I cannot wait to get to grips with the Kawasaki in pre-season testing ahead of the first round.”

Dave Williams commented: “Both myself and Mandy have sponsored riders of all classes and abilities for many years in the BSB paddock. We have owned this team since 2021, so it only seemed right to start our Academy in 2024, which helps riders to develop within the class through support and advice, giving them the stability to progress.

“Joe is a very fast experienced and thoughtful rider and he will be guiding the Academy as well as spearheading our 2024 championship campaign, whilst both Jakes are very much young and upcoming riders who with the help of the Academy can flourish in the Championship.”
