Rory Skinner and Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha topped the penultimate ZYN British Superbike Championship session of the afternoon at Donington Park as the R&G Official Test reaches the closing stages, leading Max Cook by 0.059s.
Whilst Cook’s time from earlier in the day remains the fastest overall on combined times, Skinner set his fastest lap of the test on the R1 to move to the top of session 5 on his penultimate lap and just 0.101s adrift of the fastest lap from Cook earlier in the day.
The session was red flagged when Luke Hedger crashed at the Esses, with his Whitecliffe CDH Racing Honda in the track. Bradley Ray was third fastest on the McAMS Yamaha ahead of Ryan Vickers and the second Cheshire Mouldings Yamaha of Danny Kent.
Leon Haslam was sixth fastest for Moto Rapido Racing to remain ahead of Josh Brookes, with Charlie Nesbitt 0.003s ahead of Jason O'Halloran despite a crash at Goddards. Joe Talbot completed the top ten.
