ASTRO-JJR HIPPO Suzuki has announced the signing of reigning Australian Supersport Champion Jack Mahaffy, as he joins the team for his debut in the 2026 Quattro Group British Supersport Championship.

Following an impressive 2025 season in the Australian Supersport Championship, securing multiple wins, podiums and lap records, the 24-year-old from Melbourne arrives in the UK ready for his debut season.

Mahaffy said: “I am beyond excited to start my British Superbike journey with ASTRO-JJR HIPPO Racing onboard the Suzuki. A huge thanks to Stuart and the whole team for backing me on this next chapter. It’s time to cross the pond and show what I am made of.”

Gareth Lloyd-Jones, Managing Director, HIPPO said: “We are incredibly excited to have Jack Mahaffy as part of the Astro JJR HIPPO Suzuki team for the 2026 BSB season. Already a reigning Australian champion, he will no doubt have a huge impact on this side of the world and we all look forward to seeing just what he can do.”

Team Owner Stuart Tromans commented: “As a team we are looking forward to a new chapter with Jack and Mikey, it has been a hard search for the right balance of experience, drive and determination and again as a team we looked to the Southern Hemisphere for our lead rider.

“Jack has the skills and the right attitude to do very well in the BSB paddock, this and our experience in getting the best out of the Aussie and Kiwi riders means we are looking forward to a great season.

“Testing begins in Spain at the Calafat circuit shortly where Mikey and Jack will be introduced to the bikes and the team and we can’t wait to get started.”
