McAMS Yamaha’s Bradley Ray heads to his home round of the ZYN British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch this weekend firmly focused on adding to his previous success at the Kent circuit.
This weekend carries added excitement for the team, who are at the centre of Yamaha Motor UK's celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of BSB, with Ray set to appear on track in a special edition, heritage-inspired Yamaha R1 livery across all three races. The team’s riders are also set to appear on track aboard some iconic Yamaha machinery of the past, during an exclusive Yamaha Motor UK parade lap on Saturday.
Ray and the team carry strong momentum from last time out at Snetterton, where they secured their first race victory of 2026, capping off the weekend with a second podium finish of the year in third place.
Ray is hopeful for another strong weekend, having enjoyed previous success in the past including his first win at the Grand Prix circuit at the corresponding meeting and also picking up multiple podium finishes at the season closer last October.
Ray said: "I'm looking forward to getting back aboard the McAMS Yamaha R1 at Brands Hatch this weekend - it's a local circuit for me, and one that I've always enjoyed racing at. I know within myself that I haven't ever ridden as hard as I'm riding at the moment, we're pushing so close to the limit every weekend to secure the results that we are, and with a comfortable feeling aboard the R1, I'm confident that we can do the same again this weekend.
“The Brands Hatch weekend will be a pivotal one for the championship, so we'll aim for consistency at the top end of the field and bring home a solid set of results. We're ready again to give it our all, and we've got all the tools we need to fight for wins and podiums. This weekend, we'll also be running a special edition livery across the three races in celebration of 30 Years of BSB, which adds another element of excitement heading into the weekend. It's going to be a big one!"
