It was business as usual in this evening’s qualifying session ahead of tomorrow’s heats as Nikki Coates and Barry Burrell claimed a pole apiece.
But after Burrell led free practice earlier today, it was Coates who took charge to lead qualifying by 0.084secs over his rival, with a 1min 34.099s lap.
Bobby Varey was third quickest and will line up alongside Coates in Heat One as Josh Corner secured third on the grid for Heat One with a late lap to end the session fifth.
Guest rider Bjorn Estment enjoyed another strong session to finish fourth, banking second on the grid next to Burrell for Heat Two and he will be joined on the front row by Christian Smith who was sixth.
