R&G Moto4 British Cup: Holt beats Dunabie to claim maiden win

18 July 2026

Marco Holt celebrated his first win of the season after a hard-fought and very close Moto4 British Cup race.

As racing action began at Brands Hatch this afternoon, Holt beat Jack Dunabie by 0.021secs after a lights-to-flag battle between several riders.

Polesitter Ryan Frost led off the line but Dunabie was ahead moments later – and so began a classic Moto4 scrap where the lead changed several most laps, culminating in a final lap showdown.

Frost was leading Dunabie as the last lap began but both Dunabie and Holt passed him into Druids for the final time and just broke away enough to become a two-rider battle for the spoils.

The battle raged throughout the lap, Holt hitting the front into Hawthorns, before Dunabie squeezed past to lead out of the final corner.

But Holt wasn’t quite finished and managed to out drag his rival to take his first victory, as Dunabie was second, Jack Burrows third, Frost fourth and Harrison Day fifth.
