Storm Stacey heads into his home round of the ZYN British Superbike Championship determined to bounce back after a challenging run of races for the Bathams AJN Racing Ducati team as they bid to replicate their early round success in Cheshire.
At the season opening round, Stacey and the Bathams AJN Racing Ducati team debuted with a fourth place, but after some recent challenges at Snetterton and Brands Hatch, they are ready to make amends in the three races this weekend.
Stacey said: “We just want to have a good weekend after having issues all weekend at Brands Hatch; we just couldn’t seem to catch a break! Hopefully, we have everything fixed now for Oulton Park and we have got to the bottom of it ready for this weekend.
“At the start of the year we were P4 and strong around Oulton Park; it is a strong track for me, so we want to come out and do the best that we can. I still think that as a team, we are doing a mega job with what we have, but we always want to be moving forward.
“It is obvious in the first year with a new bike we would have some issues, but unfortunately they have all come at the last two rounds at Snetterton and Brands Hatch. Now we want to come out of the other side of it swinging!
“I just can’t wait to get back to Oulton Park this weekend for my home round with all my local fans and big love to everyone for their support.”
