Barry Burrell stayed on top in this afternoon’s qualifying to bank pole position for tomorrow’s opening heat – as Bobby Varey will lead the second.
Burrell clocked the fastest lap on his Halliwell Jones machine, his time of 1min 43.605secs enough to keep him more than half a second ahead of Varey, who ended the session second quickest.
Third was points leader Nikki Coates, who will now face Burrell in a Heat race for the first time this year as he lines up second on the grid for Heat One as Kieran Smith, fifth quickest, rounds out the front row.
Varey, meanwhile, will start from pole in Heat Two with Christian Smith alongside him as Bjorn Estment starts third after clocking the sixth best lap.
