Cook eager for Knockhill after career first treble podium

01 June 2026

Max Cook delivered the strongest weekend of his ZYN British Superbike Championship career so far last time out at Donington Park, with the AJN Steelstock bimota rider claiming a first treble podium finish with a second and two third place finishes.

Cook was in the battle at the front, claiming the bimota the first podium finish in the championship, whilst also bagging his biggest points haul to date, to arrive at the third round of the season at Knockhill holding fifth in the overall standings and hungry for more.

Cook said: “What a weekend Donington Park was! My first treble podium, which is obviously huge, a massive thing and the first treble podium for the team with the bimota. The team have been buzzing and we are all so happy. These podiums felt different to the previous ones I had at Thruxton as the first ones were overwhelming and emotional, as I couldn’t believe I had done it, but these ones I thought, this is where we should be and I want more of these. I felt a lot more comfortable with the podiums and now we can strive for this success for the rest of the season.

“I think it is so impressive for bimota in BSB; they are continuing to develop the bike and being so closely linked with the factory and the progress they are making in the world championship means we will benefit from their experiences too.

“The bike has already changed quite a bit over the course of the first two rounds that we have had. A huge importance though is that it has proved it can work a quirky tracks like Oulton Park and it we set it up in a great window to work there, and then somewhere like Donington Park, is somewhere a little easier, and it is a huge achievement so far from the team.

“We will play on our strengths when we go to Knockhill, we have lots of laps and data under our belts, so we are all feeling positive and I want to thank the whole AJN Steelstock bimota team for all their work so far.”
