Pirelli British Sportbike Championship: Davidson wins as Durham penalised

21 June 2026

Alfie Davidson was given the win at the end of today’s delayed Sportbike race after Asher Durham crossed the line first but was hit with a track limit penalty.

From Pole, Davidson hit the front at the green light as Ed Best and Durham both got away well to slot into second and third positions, before Durham passed both of his rivals to take the lead on Lap Three.

After winning yesterday’s race, Durham looked like he was on track to double up as he stayed ahead of Davidson for the remainder of the race, crossing the line 0.180secs clear.

But moments later race chiefs handed him a penalty for exceeding track limits on the final lap, dropping him down to second.

Points leader Davidson therefore took the win with Durham second, Harley McCabe third, Adon Davie fourth and Charlie Atkins fifth.
