Leon Haslam and the Moto Rapido Racing team are determined to be back in the podium fight when the ZYN British Superbike Championship returns to Snetterton this weekend (July 3/4/5) after a tough weekend at Knockhill.
Haslam and the team still hold third in the overall standings, but the ‘Pocket Rocket’ is hoping that the Norfolk circuit will again be a happy hunting ground and is seeking nothing less than a repeat performance of his podium finish there last year.
Haslam said: “Knockhill for me was obviously a tough weekend; getting the bike late meant that we have done hardly any testing this year and with a few components on our bike different to the others, we have been really struggling on the tighter parts of the circuits, especially at Knockhill. It was evident of where we were struggling.
“The team have been working really good and we have been making progress at Knockhill and I believe after that weekend we have some really good data to work with and understand the actual problem so we are looking forward to Snetterton. We managed to get a podium there last year and hopefully we can understand the issue we have been having and then get back to winning ways and try and fight at the front for that top step of the podium.”
