Ilya Mikhalchik and the ROKiT BMW Motorrad British Superbike Race team are eager to get to the third round of the ZYN British Superbike Championship at Knockhill following a positive test yesterday (Tuesday) at Knockhill.
Mikhalchik completed over 100 laps of the Fife circuit as he continues his debut season in the Superbike class after lifting the Pirelli National Superstock Championship title last year, as together they target their first points of the season in Scotland.
Mikhalchik said: “The test went pretty good, we were really lucky with the weather so doing over 100 laps at Knockhill in the dry is I think a dream! We tested a couple of new things on the bike, which we couldn’t test during the race weekends and it was positive small details, which give us some steps.
“I hope that we can keep working in the same way to keep improving the package with the team and BMW. We want to keep improving our performance, close the gap to the first guys and then fight with them.”
