Storm Stacey is confident of a strong performance when the ZYN British Superbike Championship returns to Knockhill in just two weeks’ time (June 19/20/21) for the third round of the season, with the Bathams AJN Racing Ducati team ready to put their updates to the test on track.
Stacey and the Bathams AJN Racing Ducati team have had a strong start to the season, scoring a best result of fourth place so far at the Oulton Park opener, followed up by a further four top ten finishes. Since Donington Park.
The team have continued to work on further improvements ahead of round three, including updating the bodywork, fuel tank and cooling system, giving the Bathams AJN Racing Ducati V4 R a refresh, as Stacey bids for his first podium finish of the season when the championship returns to Scotland.
Stacey said: “I am really looking forward to Knockhill, it is one of my favourite tracks, probably my favourite on the calendar – I love how tight and naggery it is. The chicane if you get it perfect feels amazing and with under a minute lap, you get so many laps so I obviously enjoy that and passing into the hairpin – I love that!
“We have got some new, different parts for the bike coming for Knockhill, which is a good thing and I am looking forward to that. The team have been working hard so we can level up and we can only get better.
“We are finishing and we have a lot to improve on so there is only positives to come and I am very excited about the weekend and I hope to see a lot of the Scottish fans out for the weekend. I might even have to bring out a Storm Stacey kilt!”
