Brayden Elliott will return to the ZYN British Superbike Championship grid at Knockhill this month (June 19/20/21), joining the NP Racing team from the third round of the season.
Elliott made his BSB debut after competing in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship, where he featured this season before having the chance to return to the Superbike class. Having completed a recent test with the team at Donington Park, the Australian is now focused on the opening three races with NP Racing at Knockhill.
Elliott said: “Firstly, I’m very excited to be back on a Superbike. Competing in the premier category is always the goal and one that I’ve been working towards. I’m thankful to NP Racing for making this happen and giving me a chance to get back racing.
“I’m under no illusion as to how difficult this challenge is, having been away from the starting grid for nine months. I have had previous success on the Honda in Superstock, so I’m excited to ride one in Superbike trim and adapt as quickly as possible. Together with NP Racing, we are setting realistic goals, and I’m focused on giving my best efforts to achieve them.”
Team Owner Neil Pearson commented: “We are excited to be returning to the BSB grid at Knockhill with Brayden. He has already settled in to the team following our recent test and we are all working well together. Knockhill will be a tough first round for us, but we are fully focused on improving.”
