Marley Mackenzie made it three out of three this evening as he beat Ben Jolliffe after a dramatic last lap.
Jolliffe was fastest off the line at the start, hitting the front into Redgate but wasn’t able to hold off Mackenzie, who was soon ahead, leading for the first two laps.
Luca Hopkins moved ahead at the start of Lap Three but had a bit of a moment and fell back to second as Mackenzie came back through.
Behind Hopkins, Jolliffe was keeping a very close watching brief and was ready to pounce on the last lap. Running in second place he made a move for the front as he dived down the inside into the Loop.
But Mackenzie wasn’t having it and grabbed the inside line as they headed into Goddards, keeping ahead to take the win by 0.178secs. Jolliffe was second as Lewis Mullen celebrated his first podium in third. Hopkins was fourth with Henry Ross fifth.
