Quattro Group British Supersport Championship: Kennedy holds-off Stapleford to bag pole

Five-time champion Jack Kennedy saw off a challenge from Luke Stapleford to grab pole position this morning.

The Honda Racing UK rider clocked a 1min 30.115sec lap to go 0.132secs clear of the Scars-Racing Ducati rider, who arrived at Donington Park leading the points and was quickest in combined practice yesterday.

McAMS Yamaha's Ben Currie – who had been quickest in FP2, was just 0.103s shy of Stapleford’s time to secure the third front row spot.

Behind, Carter Brown will head Row Two after setting the fourth quickest lap as Harry Truelove will round out the top five.

Cam Swain continued to dominate the Cup class action this weekend, qualifying p11 overall. Adam Hartgrove emerged the second quickest of the Cup runners and will start p23 on the grid with James Alderson third.
