Scott Redding narrowly missed out on the podium in the opening round of the ZYN British Superbike Championship at the Oulton Park season opener, and the Hager PBM Racing Team rider is determined to return to the top three next weekend (May 15/16/17).
Redding arrives at Donington Park for the second round of the Championship holding fourth place in the early standings following two fourth places and a fifth at Oulton Park, but the 2019 champion is determined for more as the Hager PBM Racing Team build momentum with the new Ducati V4 R.
Redding said: “Going into Donington Park, I’m really excited. Obviously, Oulton Park was not a bad start to the season for us but I expected more from myself. I had a few set-up issues, which we ironed out towards the end of the last race, but we still have more to do.
“Donington Park always provides good racing with lots of riders being fast there and this year looks like the pace is super high. I’m just looking forward to getting back to Donington Park; we missed a test at the beginning of the year, but it is what it is, we focus on the job and we will be trying to get ourselves back on the podium.”
