Honda Racing UK and Ryan Vickers extend partnership into 2027

01 October 2026

Honda Racing UK has confirmed that Ryan Vickers will remain with the factory team for the 2027 British Superbike Championship, as Honda strengthens its commitment to challenging for the title.

Vickers will return next season aboard the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP for a second season, building on a race-winning 2026 campaign.

Following an intensive period of development with the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, Vickers and Honda Racing UK made a significant breakthrough during the second half of the season. At Thruxton, Vickers secured Honda Racing UK’s first Superbike podium of 2026 before going on to claim a superb double victory, returning the Fireblade to the top step of the BSB podium.

That momentum continued at Honda Racing UK’s home round at Cadwell Park, where Vickers delivered a further two victories, confirming both his ability to fight consistently at the front and the progress made by the team throughout the season.

For Honda Racing UK, retaining Vickers represents more than continuity. The 2027 season will see Honda Racing UK enter the British Superbike Championship with one clear objective: to win the British Superbike Championship title.

Throughout 2026, Honda Racing UK has continued to develop the Fireblade. That work will continue through the remainder of this season and into the winter, with the knowledge and experience accumulated by both team and rider during their first year together providing the foundations for an uncompromising championship challenge in 2027.

Vickers said: “I'm incredibly excited to continue with Honda Racing for the 2027 season. We've had a fantastic first year together, achieving some great results and building a really strong relationship along the way. From the very beginning, I've felt at home with the team, and I'm proud of what we've already achieved together. I'm looking forward to continuing to build on our momentum and pushing for more success.”

Team Manager, Scot Hargreaves commented: “We're delighted to be continuing our journey with Ryan in 2027. He's been a key part of the development of our Fireblade and his professional attitude and constant drive for success have been a recipe for results, for both Ryan and the team. There's no doubt in my mind that, by building on the strong foundations we've formed together this year, we can continue to fight consistently at the sharp end in 2027.”
