Bathams AJN Racing announce Nesbitt to join Stacey at Brands Hatch season finale

13 October 2026

The Bathams AJN Racing Ducati team have announced they will run a two-rider team at the season finale of the ZYN British Superbike Championship this weekend (October 16/17/18), with Charlie Nesbitt joining Storm Stacey on the grid for the final three races.

The team will field a second Ducati V4 R this weekend as a token of their appreciation to Nesbitt, after he joined the team at Donington Park in order to evaluate some electronic settings, whilst Stacey was competing at a Supermoto race in Belgium.

Nesbitt will race at Brands Hatch on a second bike assembled mainly from the teams’ spare parts stock and components, which were previously upgraded on Stacey’s bike to Corse spec part, in order to collect further data for the team.

Nesbitt said: “When Michael called to see if I could help at the test at Oulton Park, I jumped at the chance. Who wouldn’t? I really enjoyed riding the bike, even though it was cold and wet and we were on scrubbed tyres, the bike felt mega. So, when he asked if I wanted to race at Brands Hatch, I couldn’t say no.

“Even though the bike I’ll be on won’t be to the same spec as Storm’s, and if the team do need spares for his bike, it’ll most likely have to come from mine, it’s still a no brainer and I can’t wait.”

Rutter said: “First of all, thank you to Charlie for stepping in at the last minute and riding around in the cold and rain for us at Oulton Park to give us some valuable feedback. Secondly, it’s been a huge effort by the team to get a bike put together for him in time.

“We know it’s not the exact same spec as Storm’s bike which he rode at the test, but Charlie and I feel that the opportunity for him to get back on track, and us to put two bikes out on track, is too good to miss”.
