Pirelli National Superstock Championship: Allingham crowned champion

Pirelli National Superstock Championship: Allingham crowned champion

17 October 2026

David Allingham has finally been crowned Superstock champion after dominating the season.

The SMS/Nicholl Oils rider had started today’s race from pole but dropped to second at the start of Lap Three as title rival Luke Mossey dived up the inside aboard his Milenco by Padgetts Motorcycles Honda.

Mossey soon put a gap between himself and Allingham but all Allingham had to do was finish second to claim the title today. However, he had Billy McConnell breathing down his neck so had no chance to relax.

Mossey seemed to be in control but then suddenly slowed on Lap 11 allowing Allingham through and taking up second position. He stuck close to Allingham for the coming laps and things started to get interesting when backmarkers came into play on the penultimate lap.

Allingham dropped to second when Mossey dived through at Paddock Hill Bend, but soon got back ahead to lead into the final lap.

Mossey tried again to get ahead, hitting the front very briefly but Allingham came straight back and into the lead, holding the spot to cross the line for his 10th win of the year and securing the championship.

"I’m completely lost for words right now,” said an emotional Allingham after the race. “that was a tough race, it was a very long race in my head, the laps were just taking forever.

“I’m so proud of my team, my family and my fiancée – It’s emotional, when my uncle passed away I said I was going to bring us back a championship, so thank you very much.”

Mossey finished the race second ahead of McConnell with Josh Owens fourth and Tom Oliiver fifth.
