Pirelli National Superstock Championship: McConnell storms to last win of 2026

18 October 2026

Series favourite Billy McConnell powered to the win in today’s series finale at Brands Hatch.

Rain upset play before the race even began, with polesitter Luke Mossey opting not to race. Newly crowned champion David Allingham headed the grid from P2, running a stunning gold and black livery and sporting the number one plate.

At the light, Simon Reid jumped the start and then crashed out as he crossed the line, almost collecting Josh Owens who had started from P3.

Declan Connell got out in front in the opening lap as McConnell stormed past Allingham to move into second place. But moments later, Connell crashed out on his own, allowing McConnell to take the lead.

From there, the popular Aussie wasn’t troubled as he scampered off at the front, eventually taking the win by 2.787secs over Tom Oliver. Matt Truelove was third ahead of Carl Phillips as Ash Barnes rounded out the top five.
