Oli Bayliss picked up where he left off yesterday as he stormed to the fastest qualifying lap of the day to take pole.
The Triumph Macadam Factory Racing rider, who led at the end of Friday, was back on it this morning as he powered to a 1min 29.447sec lap to secure the top spot ahead of this afternoon’s Sprint race.
Bayliss ended the session 0.338secs clear of Honda Racing UK’s Jack Kennedy, who currently trails championship leader Luke Stapleford by 69 points in the title chase and will start from P2, just one place higher than Stapleford who will round out the front row.
Kennedy’s team-mate Dean Harrison was fourth fastest and will head Row Two, with XMT Racing’s Josh Whatley lining up in fifth position.
It was a close battle in the Cup class, with Keo Walker fastest by just 0.079secs from Cam Swain, with Ben Tolliday third.
