Jack Dunabie was declared winner of today’s Moto4 race as rain stopped play on the final lap, denying the pack of a showdown finish.
The race may have been shortened following an earlier delay to track action – but it certainly wasn’t short of action, as the lead changed dozens of times over the 12 laps with Dunabie, Marco Holt and Ryan Frost all taking their turns at the front.
Dunabie was ahead as the pack started the final lap but points leader Frost hit the front at Turn One, quickly but a tiny bit of space between himself and the pack of five others behind.
But his hopes of victory were dashed a few moments later as the race was red flagged due to heavy rain at the start/finish and the result called at the end of the previous lap, giving Dunabie the win ahead of Frost with Holt third, Alex Remesal -Jones fourth and Tyler Humphries fifth.
