Whitney Motorsport Racing has announced their return to the Pirelli National Superstock Championship in 2027, re-signing Blaze Baker and Max Lofthouse to campaign the BMW M 1000 RR with the support of SMR Performance.
WMR debuted in the championship this season with South African Baker taking a best result of seventh place at Donington Park earlier in the year and Lofthouse scoring a top 12 finish at Knockhill, with the pair aiming for more at the final two rounds of 2026.
Baker said: "I’m very happy to announce that I’ll be staying with WMR for the 2027 season. After a great experience with the team, I’m really looking forward to continuing our journey together and building on everything we’ve achieved so far.
“I’m especially excited to get out on the new BMW and see what we can achieve together in 2027. I’d like to thank everyone at WMR for their continued support and belief in me — I can’t wait to get started!"
Lofthouse said: "I think the move to BMW will be a strong one for the team. As a tall rider, I’m looking forward to racing something more suited to my size!"
