Bradley Ray holds third place in the ZYN British Superbike Championship standings ahead of the penultimate round of the season this weekend (October 2/34) at Donington Park and the McAMS Yamaha rider remains relentless ahead of the final six races of the title battle.
Ray arrives at Donington Park confident, having secured a double podium at the TT Circuit Assen two weeks ago. The result marked another significant step forward for the Kent contender and the team, and provided a welcome boost of confidence ahead of the run-in to the season's closing rounds.
Returning to a circuit that suits both himself and the Yamaha R1 to the ground, Ray is keen to carry that momentum into the weekend and to challenge consistently for podium finishes. Currently 42 points adrift of Scott Redding in second place in the standings, the team head to Donington Park focused on applying pressure and closing that gap across the three races this weekend.
Ray said: "I'm really looking forward to Donington Park this weekend. It's a circuit that suits both me and the R1, and after the double podium at Assen we're heading in with a strong feeling and plenty of momentum.
“We've made great progress with the bike over recent rounds, and the aim now is to keep that going and fight for the podium in all three races. Scott is 42 points ahead of us in second, so we know every result counts, and we'll be working hard to start closing that gap.
“We're confident in our ability to fight at the front and hopefully end the weekend a step closer to second in the championship before the final round of the year."
