Biography

Jason O'Halloran began his racing career back in his native Australia, becoming the Australian Supersport champion in 2007 before moving into the Superbike class, finishing fourth in the 2008 title battle.

The ‘O Show’ then moved to the UK, making his debut in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at the end of 2008 with the SMT Honda team, before joining the series full-time the following season.

The Australian then had seasons in the support classes, notably finishing second in the 2012 and 2014 Pirelli National Superstock Championships and was a podium finisher in the Supersport class.

O’Halloran returned to Bennetts BSB action in 2015, becoming a Showdown contender for the first time in 2016, when he finished fifth place overall in the title fight for two consecutive seasons.

He was then hit by injuries but has continued to build momentum since joining the McAMS Yamaha team.

2020 marked O’Halloran’s strongest season in the series; injury-free he finished runner-up in the title battle as he took the title fight down to the wire at the season finale, claiming three victories and a further eight podium finishes.

A year later and the Australian claimed more wins than any of his rivals but ended the season in third overall and was back fighting for the title again with McAMS Yamaha in 2022, but ended the season in fifth place. In 2023 he celebrated further success with Yamaha, becoming the rider in Bennetts BSB with the most race wins for the manufacturer, taking the tally to 25, one more than triple champion Niall Mackenzie.

O'Halloran moves to Team Green for the new season, as he bids for a first Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
