Charlie Nesbitt nicknamed ‘Spud’ kicked off his racing journey as a six-year-old competing in the FAB Racing Championship.
As a child, he enjoyed time racing in mini moto and metrakit classes, before taking up the opportunity to contest the Spanish Championship at just 11 years of age.
After a year in Spain, he returned to UK soil, joining the British Superteens Championship for a single season. The following year Nesbitt made the step up to the British Motostar series; the Moto3 support class within the British Superbike Championship. The youngster made a solid first impression and remained within the class until the end of 2016, when a dominant championship campaign, with 15 wins overall, earned him his first British title at just 15 years old.
Having proven to possess championship winning pedigree in the British paddock, Nesbitt joined the international ranks of the Junior World Championship for the 2017 and 2018 season. His world championship efforts were cut short halfway through 2018. From there, came a switch back into familiar territory, returning to the British paddock, competing in the British GP2 series. He remained within the championship up until 2021, when an outstanding third full year would see him crowned British champion for the second time in his career.
Charlie Nesbitt joined Hawk for the 2022 season to ride the VisionTrack Suzuki in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship, in which he went on to secure a memorable win at Cadwell Park, and four other podium finishes. He was then promoted from within the Hawk team to a full-time BSB ride having impressed on his first appearances in the class towards the end of the 2022 season.
Nesbitt has been a growing threat to his BSB rivals and after a strong campaign with the MasterMac Honda team in 2025, he has moved to the TAG Racing Honda team for the forthcoming season.
