Team Biography

GR Motosport was formed in 1995 and the Sheffield based team celebrated their 25th anniversary season last year as they continue to promote young riders with the Bennetts British Superbike Championship and its support classes.

Owned by Brent Gladwin, when injury ended his riding career, the team have scored a European and eight British titles, including the 2016 British Supersport Championship with Tarran Mackenzie.

The team have worked with riders in recent seasons including Tommy Bridewell, Taylor Mackenzie and most recently last year with Storm Stacey.

Stacey progressed from the Superstock 600 class directly into Bennetts BSB with the team, but the young pretender instantly impressed and delivered some mature performances during his first campaign on the Superbike, to score championship points in his rookie season.

Team LKQ Euro Car Parts Kawasaki re-signed Storm Stacey for the 2024 Championship, as the 19-year-old enters his sixth consecutive season with the team. The Eccleshall-based teenager claimed a career best finish of sixth place at Donington Park in 2021; in addition to also securing a first front row start in the second race of the weekend at the penultimate round.

GR Motosport expands to a two-rider team for the forthcoming season as Tom Neave joins the Sheffield-based contenders on the STAUFF Fluid Power Kawasaki alongside teammate Storm Stacey who lines up in LKQ Euro Car Parts Kawasaki colours.

The 2024 season marks the eleventh year of an extended partnership between the Team and STAUFF UK. As part of a global business the company with the Head Office in Sheffield and facilities in Aberdeen and Lisburn (Ireland) develop, manufacture and distribute components and pre-assembled kits consisting of pipework, manipulated tube, hose, filtration and many other fluid power related products. The portfolio is vast and is utilised in numerous industries from rail transportation, oil and gas production, MOD equipment, agriculture and marine vessels to name a few.

GR Motosport and STAUFF UK during this time have celebrated title victories in both the British Moto3 and Quattro Group British Supersport Championships, with the STAUFF team most recently competing in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship.

Neave joins the GR Motosport Team for their 29th season in the British Championship paddock after winning the 2021 Pirelli National Superstock Championship and competing in Bennetts BSB for the past two seasons.
