Ryan Frost emerged victorious at the end of a hard-fought opening BTC win as he beat Julian Correa by just 0.082secs.
At the end of another busy 12-lap race for the young riders, Lucas Brown – who had dominated practice and qualifying – had to settle for third, almost half a second behind Correa.
Filip Surowiak, who had led the opening lap, took fourth at the flag with Harrison Mackay fifth.
