Biography

Alex Lowes comes from a competitive household, competing during his early career against his twin brother Sam, as the pair started their careers in British Championship racing, progressing from club level competition.

Alex Lowes moved into the British 125cc class then made the step up to the Supersport series before a brief spell in the European Superstock Championship and a subsequent return to British Championship action.

In 2011, Lowes made his BSB debut, switching teams during the campaign whilst also lining up in the World Superbike Championship with the Ten Kate Racing team, replacing Jonathan Rea at two events.

A year later, Lowes had a strong season in BSB, finishing in fourth place overall with the WFR team to show he could rapidly adapt, before moving to the Samsung Honda team in 2013.

The 2013 season saw an incredible season of rivarly, and Lowes went on to defeat Shane 'Shakey' Byrne in the final race of the season to win the title.

Lowes then moved back into the World Superbike Championship, where he still competes currently racing for the factory Kawasaki team.
