John Reynolds is a multiple BSB champion who started racing in schoolboy motocross before switching to circuit racing in the Junior classes.

In 1989, JR competed in the British Supersport Championship and he went on to win the Supercup crown a year later, combining his circuit success with outings at the TT.

After successful seasons in Britain, Reynolds moved to the 500cc Grand Prix class with the Padgetts team, before competing in the World Superbike Championship in 1995 with the Reve Racing team.

In 1997 Reynolds was back fighting at the front in Britain, joining the Red Bull Ducati team, ending the season in fourth place overall, remaining with the team the following season despite an early injury in the campaign he again finished fourth overall. 

The 1999 BSB season saw a three-way title battle with Reynolds as he went up against eventual champion Troy Bayliss and Chris Walker as he ended the season in third position overall.

Another race-winning campaign continued in 2000 as Reynolds finished third behind one of the ultimate BSB title fights between Neil Hodgson and Chris Walker, but in 2001 JR won the title after a battle with Steve Hislop, who was injured at Rockingham.

A switch to the Rizla Suzuki team came in 2002 and JR used his extensive experience to help with development during the season to finish in sixth place overall. The team came back stronger a year later as JR finished runner-up to Shane 'Shakey' Byrne.

In 2004 Reynolds was hungry for victory, which he did following a consistently strong season, which saw him hold off Michael Rutter, before retiring at the end of the 2005 season.
