Biography

Leon Camier started his career grasstrack racing, before his winning performances moved him into the British Championship paddock in the 125 class, winning the title in 2001 before later progressing into the British Supersport series.

Camier then became a British champion for a second time in 2005, lifting the Supersport title with the Padgetts Honda team before progressing into the Superbike class with the Bike Animal Honda team in 2007. A strong rookie season ended prematurely when he broke his leg in a crash at Cadwell Park, however he would return the following year, joining the Airwaves Ducati team.

Camier’s first year with the GSE Racing run team saw him end the season in fifth overall, but in 2009 a dominating season on the Airwaves Yamaha scored him a third British title before moving to the World Championship. After recently fighting injuries, Camier decided to retire from racing and now manages the Honda Racing team in WSB.
